Positive: The hotel has a small playground and even a rabbit farm, which kids really enjoy. Plenty of activities for children: bonfires with marshmallows, face painting, nature walks, and even archery. The hotel and common areas are clean, nicely decorated, and have a charming shabby-chic style. Staff are polite and helpful. Free bikes are available for both kids and adults. Lovely green outdoor area. Breakfast is good and varied. The à la carte restaurant serves tasty food, although it’s on the expensive side.

Negative: No air conditioning, so rooms get uncomfortably hot in summer. Poorly designed bathrooms: the shower floods the entire floor because the water doesn’t drain properly. Parking comes at an extra cost, which feels like it should be included in the room price. Extra beds for children are also charged separately, another cost that should really be included. The fridge doesn’t actually cool anything, even though it turns on. No hooks or racks for towels in the bathroom. Rooms are very small; once you add a child’s bed, there’s hardly any space left. The outdoor pools are tiny compared to the photos online. The spa pools indoors are also very small and disappointing.
